Lucie Reeves-Smith is an experienced and knowledgeable independent arts writer, researcher, curator, and valuer based in Sydney, Australia. A member of the Australian Art Consulting Association, since 2023 she has been a consulting curator and working on ongoing research projects with Mosman Art Gallery and the NSW Government Department of Communities and Justice, as well as providing valuations for corporate collections and private clients, and writing regular secondary market auction reports for leading industry database Australian Art Sales Digest. With international Masters qualifications in Art History and cultural management, Lucie was the gallery manager and art specialist at Deutscher and Hackett, Sydney, for over seven years. During this time, she was instrumental in the successful delivery of dozens of major Australian fine art auctions including landmark single-owner sales The Estate of the late J. O. Fairfax, The National Australia Bank Collection and 100 Highlights of the CBUS Collection of Australian Art. In addition to this strong background in arts administration and private advisory, she has published articles in critical art reviews including Vault and Running Dog, reviewing exhibitions and writing feature articles on visiting international artists. Since February 2024, Lucie has been a registered member of the Art Consulting Association of Australia.
